Alison is a retired Executive Headteacher and CEO of a Multi Academy Trust specialising in meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs.  She has worked in education for over 40 years, with a significant amount of this time as a National Leader of Education.  Alison led and supported a number of schools experiencing challenges resulting in positive outcomes.

Since her retirement Alison has used her experience in governance and leadership to become a Trustee for several organisations.  She is a Trustee for Challenge Partners, a charity that aims to

reduce educational inequality and improve life chances of all children.  As part of her work she is a reviewer for Multi Academy Trust peer reviews. Alison is also the lead Trustee for safeguarding for the De Curci Multi Academy Trust in Portsmouth.

Alison strongly believes that all children should have equal access to an excellent educational experience.

Alison joined the Trust Board in 2022 and is a member of the Personnel Committee.  She is the Vice Chair of Trustees and also the Link Trustee for SEND and for Longspee and Tregonwell Academies.
