Longspee Secondary are seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to facilitate and extend learning and progress in the classroom, with a focus upon Inclusion, Wellbeing and Engagement as part of the Learning Support Team. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will be working in partnership with staff and students in a positive and proactive way, to support inclusion in a responsive and demonstrative way.
Longspee Academy is an excellent specialist provision for young people with needs related to Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and Autism. In support of the exciting growth of our new high-quality secondary provision, Longspee Academy are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, compassionate and proactive individual to support excellence.
To be successful at LEPC, candidates will need to demonstrate a high-quality flexible and dynamic approach to learning and progress, whilst being creative, open and authentic in their communication. Knowledge and experience of working with secondary pupils with additional needs would be an advantage, though the ability to make, understand and sustain positive relationships will always be key.
You will be happily resourceful and creative, highly resilient and adaptable, able to work well as a member of a successful team, be able to relate well to (and understand) others, demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills and have a good sense of positive humour. In addition, you will have a deep understanding that success at LEPC is achieved by developing the success and independence of others.
